Be In The Present
Tips from chapter 4:
There are so many distractions surrounding us today, so it’s important to focus on the present. In order to produce quality work, you should be focusing on one thing at a time. Multi-tasking isn’t productive because you’re constantly task switching. Being present-minded is all about being present in the moment. Meditation allows you to train yourself to be mindful because every time your mind wanders, you must try and refocus it back to the present. Try to practice mindfulness by scheduling time each day to meditate and be present-minded. Emotional intelligence allows you to empathize with how someone feels in a certain situation and adapt the way you communicate to them. You can practice emotional intelligence with friends by trying to understand what they’re thinking, and having responses accordingly.
